A Home Lacking a Central Heart
The home's existing ground floor was fragmented into several smaller rooms, which didn't suit the demands of modern family life. The clients wanted a large, cohesive, and light-filled space where they could cook, eat, socialise, and connect with the garden effortlessly.
THE PLAN
A Wraparound Extension for Light and Space
By designing a wraparound side and rear extension, we unlocked the full potential of the ground floor. This created a vast open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that is now the true heart of the home. A central island defines the kitchen zone, while large sliding doors provide a seamless link to the garden, filling the entire space with natural light.
